PARNO GRASZT

Jozsef Olah (vocal, guitar, tambourine),
Viktor Olah (vocal, guitar, dance),
Sandor Horvath (vocal, spoons, dance),
Janos Jakocska (vocal, guitar), Maria Varadi (vocal, dance),
Maria Balogh (vocal, dance), Krisztian Olah (accordion),
Janos Olah (double bass), Istvan Nemeth (oral bass, churn)

According to Simon Broughton (Songlines), they do not need to go back to the sources – that is what they are (Simon Broughton, Songlines)

Parno Graszti (white horse) music comes from North-East Hungary representing a certain local musical dialect. Their instruments range from the accoustic guitar, tambura, double bass, accordion, and spoons to a churn and improvisation. It is a party revelling in dance, singing and passion.

In cooperation with Hungarian Institute
