Chris Maene (Belgia) on ehitanud ajaloolisi klavereid rohkem kui 25 aastat ja näiteks viimase 5 aasta jooksul on tehtud pille Eastman School of Music (Rochester), Cornell University (Ithaca), the Music Universities of Perth, Sydney, and Athens, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, le Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, the Finish National Opera, the Conservatories of Brussels and Antwerp, and the Julliard School of New-York. Meie pill on valmistatud Viinis Anton Walteri poolt eeskujuks võetud mudeli järgi aastast 1795, originaal antud instrumendist asetseb tänapäeval Saksa Rahvusmuuseumis Nürnbergis.

Teadaolevalt on tegu Mozarti lemmikmudeliga.
